Timothy Semenoro is a graduate of Webb Institute of Naval Architecture (B.S. 1995) and Tulane University Law School (J.D. 2001). He is a member of the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey, and admitted to practice in the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York; the District of New Jersey; the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the Supreme Court of the United States.
 
Mr. Semenoro primarily represents vessel owners, charterers, Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Clubs, hull insurers, and underwriters in complex, multi-party litigation; arbitrations; mediations; and appeals. His practice includes insurance defense, charter party contract disputes, environmental damage, and general maritime and admiralty law.
 
Prior to joining Chalos O'Connor, Mr. Semenoro practiced law at a boutique New York law firm in the areas of cargo subrogation, complex commercial litigation, insurance and coverage. His current practice includes maritime litigation, arbitration and appeals. He brings to the firm several years of maritime related experience, both legal and technical.
 
In law school, Mr. Semenoro was Senior Articles Editor and a contributing member, having been published twice, of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, an internationally recognized and distributed journal. During his senior year, he was a judicial-extern clerk to the Honorable Marcel Livaudais, Senior U.S. District Court Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Upon completion of his legal studies, he earned the Tulane Law School Certificate in Maritime Law reflecting his concentration in that specialty.
 
Prior to law school, Mr. Semenoro was a Naval Architect / Marine Engineer with the firm of CG International, Inc., Scotch Plains, NJ. As an engineer for three years, his primary responsibilities, in addition to general engineering and structural design, included the development of contract specifications and system diagrams for LNG and product tankers, the management and creation of document submittals to the U.S. Coast Guard and the American Bureau of Shipping to facilitate the reflagging of Roll-On / Roll-Off vessels, and the coordination of new construction cost estimates for LNG and product tankers.
