Robert E. O'Connor is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.A Environmental Studies and Economics 2005) and the St. John's University School of Law (J.D. 2010). Mr. O'Connor is currently a member of the New York State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Maritime Law Association. Mr. O'Connor is admitted to practice in New York state courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mr. O'Connor has worked for the Firm since 2001. Prior to and during law school, Mr. O'Connor assisted the firm in a variety of admiralty matters including litigation of ship casualties, charter party arbitrations, and Rule B maritime attachments. During law school, Mr. O'Connor was also Vice President of the Student Bar Association, President of the Admiralty Law Society, and a frequent Contributor to and Editor in Chief of the St. John's Admiralty Law Practicum (a biannual publication).
