Attorneys — AssociatesBrian T. McCarthy Brian T. McCarthy is a graduate of Villanova University (B.A. cum laude 1997) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D. 2000). Mr. McCarthy is a member of the Bar of the State of New York, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Prior to joining Chalos O'Connor and Duffy, Mr. McCarthy was an Assistant District Attorney at the New York County District Attorney's Office for three and a half years. During that time, he successfully tried numerous cases and conducted many long term investigations. He successfully investigated misconduct by members of the District Attorney's Office and New York City Police Department, as well as matters involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation-New York City Police Department Joint Terrorism Task Force. Mr. McCarthy obtained a top count conviction in the People of the State of New York v. Rocco Graziosa, in which former New York Yankees pitcher David Wells was the victim of an assault. In law school, he was an Articles Editor and contributing member of the Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal. He also received the Corpus Juris Secundum Award for Civil Procedure.
